Wow, I thought I was the only one. I won't go to sites that use
frames. Have you found that some people forget to provide a back button
on their pages? That is one of the things that really pisses me off.
The browser's button won't work and they don't even allow you to go back
to their home page, some people...
Ryan Walton

They're annoying. The browsers worked fine before they came along.
If it aint broke then dont fix it.
Greg H.

They just don't seem to serve any purpose 99% of the time, except, of course, to make surfing more difficult and time consuming.
SoftCell

Well, I have to admit, I did do *one* page at
my website in frames. Why? Because I am a web
designer and that's what some people want me
to be able to do. But you can bet I gave people
the link to the non-framed page as well. I hate
sites that do both framed and unframed and then
automatically load the frames because I am
running Netscape 2.0...give me the choice,
please!!
Mary Jo Sminkey

i hate them too
darryl price

I hate them, they make my head go all dizzy,
and they generally crash my pc *laugh*
Kador
Eat me

I really, really hate frames...
My friend says he´s going to use frames on his new homepage.
What should I say to stop him?
Andreas Soder

Let's face it, the only reason
for using frames is because
a person has absolutely no
design sense and can't figure
out any other way to fill the
space. Put simply: Frames=
Low IQ (and no imagination)
Jim Cim

The only thing worse than frames is that goddamned blinking text command. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should! These things make me want to commit violent acts. Lots of them. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, soon-to-be-humiliated-in-November Bob Dole. But I ramble. Good-goddamn-night.
Bill Salisbury

Frames suck in theirselves, and even more so when there is no alternative! As for now, the only frames-capable browsers that I know of are Netscape, MS IExplorer, Voyager-NG and IBrowse, AWeb-II has a primitive support for them. It is not real HTML, and it won't work with my everyday browser, Lynx. Any good web page should work with Lynx without problems. Frames is an abomination.
Iggy Drougge

Somtimes it looks like Lynx is the browser of choice....look ma...no frames!!
Cereal Killer

Frames are for weak page designers who can't make up their minds. Now...um...do I press the submit button...or..uhhhh....
Dave Wruck

My screen is small enough as it is,
and then some asshole comes and turns it
into five, even smaller, screens with
scrollbars on all sides.
If you should for some reason want to reed
what this asshole had to say, you'ld have to
keep scrolling from left to right and back
again.
This makes me sick.
Ron Smeets

i hate frames, they cause your browser pain, its like telling a sprinter to go run a marathon after he went all out for his race.
normandy

I don't really hate frames anymore.
But I thought I would show you all their
destructive powers. Go to the crash site.
Learn the power of Frames!
Josh Jones

They Suck
Mark Cushman

Frames are Evil.
Rudy Fink

Frames make your browser look like a shelf
for Grandma's knick-knacks.
-hint- It's fun to have one frames site
bookmarked, so instead of the normal
close-program at 4:30 in the morning, you
can just crash your browser, like a crippled
plane slamming into a mountain.
Sean McGough

Well, how can I say it?... Mmmmm, let's say; FRAMES SUCK!
Marius Pellerud

One of the worst things about frames is when
people take a perfectly good site and try to
scruntch it into a smaller box. Half the time
the dummy doesn't set it up right so some of
text is hangin out somewhere in cyberspace.
Jeff Bancroft

Frames Suck Big Time.
James Porter

Frames suck. The assholes on the net who
they're really smart and put the damn things
on their pages really piss me off.
Netscape should be sued for supporting the
damn things.
Rann Bar-On

Damn Frames! You notice how most of the big sites have their no frames version as default? Is that a hint or what? Down with Frames!
Derek Gomez

I hate frames. I'm perfectly capable of crashing Netslop without them, thank you.
I specially hate those little bitty ones that are like 1/8 inch high bit have a MENU inside!?! and you cant make it any bigger, you just have to squint and try to find the stuff.
I'm proud to say that all my pages are 100% frame-free!
Tapu

They suck to make, but can sometimes improve
a page. They are really a bitch to work
with, though, and after making a page using
frames this summer I doubt if I'll ever try
using them again.
Blake Sweeney

I have just recently removed the frames
version of my web page. It was hell updating
two versions just to make it easier for those
without the right kind of browser.
Now I only have a "normal version" for
everyone's viewing pleasure.
Take care,
Raven
Raven

They suck. What else is there to say?
Andrew Dupont

Lets say that frames rule. as long as they are glasses frames, and
you can take them off any time you want,
and they don't get into way of other frames
and they dont make you use scrollbars to
see whats new and exciting in the world.
If all frames in the world would be like
frames to see whats down below you would press
down button on your glasses instead of lowering your head.
conclusion: kill creators of frame, and too, and maybe img (bandwidth ya know)
Daniel Odievich

Two words:
Frames Suck.
Lady Trailblazer
People who like frames can Go to hell.

Even the frames sucks in sweden :-)
Matti Palmström

It's too bad we have those laws against "cruel and unusual punishment".
Lord Augustus

What can I say about frames that hasn't already been said?
I tried frames on my page and it was very confusing not to mention frustrating to surf on.
I like graphics, animated graphics too. But leave the damn frames OFF!
Robert

Frames have destroyed my life ;-) No, seriously, I can't stand them. They slow down my browser, lock up the computer, and crash Netscape, even. Great idea for a club!
Kathleen Drozdowski

I HATE FRAMES!!! And I love your page!
Faith

Odio i frames!!!
Giampiero Ferrarese

Very irritating, confusing & messy.
Check out the "No Frames" logo at
my site. Download and use it if you wish.
Mike's Media Madness

yes...frames are good on cars & beds. [GET THE PICTURE?}
DAVID AKERLEY

Frames are good for protecting your pitchers edjes and for starting eggplant early in the spring. Other than that they should be gathered up and ground into dust.
Jimmie McWhirt

Help I'm lost and I can't get out. Once you get one of those long winded frame web pages it seems to take forever to get out. You can't bookmark any of the pages and worse of all they're the ugliest things on the web. Maube it's time congress allows gay marriages and bans framed web sites.
Jack Laurin

When I first saw a webpage with frames, I thought "Oh wow! How did they do that?" and then my browser crashed. At first I thought it was because of my crummy computer and it's (lack of) memory, so I tried again...and again...and again. The family, thinking there was some medical emergency, came rushing in after hearing my screams. They saw me sitting at my computer shaking my fist and cursing: "*!#*&! frames!!". They just shook their heads and left, thinking that I'd really gone off the deep end. Frames can do that to you - drive you absolutely crazy!!
ladybug

Every time I happen to enter a framed site, I hold my breath and pray I'll be able to exit before my browser crashes on me. Frames don't add anything (except confusion) to a well designed site!
Kjell Johansson

AH!!! Microsoft Internet Explorer almost CRASHES every time I go any where near something that LOOKS like it MIGHT have something to DO with a site that has frames. :( Grr...
Rachael Osborn

Uhh.. my URL was wrong.
Rachael Osborn

What a waste of perfectly usable screen space.............obviously frames were developed under the usual programmer theory, that............." if it was difficult to write....it should be difficult to operate/use too many resources/crash randomly!"
`Rider

My opinion is that the most interseting page is one that is designed to present the page simply attractively and in a manner that promotes the reason for the page frames just get in the way, they are being used mainly for advertising which all they are good for. Design can tell a story, produce a mood, create fundamental expectations and a good design is a pleaure to see. Alex
Alex Wood

i'm already loosing my sight after sitting in front of the computer everyday... please don't make me completely blind!
Marc Semonick

Frames is useful, but it depends on the use you give them. Try to use frames reasonably and they worth it! Para o pessoal que fala portugues, tente usar frames com moderacao e eles podem ser bastante uteis
Alessandro Barbosa Lima
use with reason

The realization that others also hate frames touches me. I also hate anything that moves on a page unbidden to -- blinking, push-pull, and, yes, Java or other applets. Any page that wants to show moving things should ask permission first!!!!!!!
Cliff Roberson

This sucks.
WC Fauna

SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK!! Oh yeah, and they SUCK!!
